The Biggest Game Releases Of July 2024

Explore the most anticipated game releases of July 2024, the game release schedule is gaining momentum. July is particularly notable for live-service games. The new Final Fantasy 14 expansion, Dawntrail, launches on July 2, followed by Nexon’s The First Descendant. Just two days later, Genshin Impact developer Hoyoverse releases Zenless Zone Zero.

In addition to these major titles, there are some intriguing smaller games on the horizon. Dungeons of Hinterberg offers a blend of dungeon-exploration and socializing at an Alpine resort, Anger Foot lets you kick crime to the curb, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn combines guns and swords in its combat.

Originally set for a July 25 release, Frostpunk 2 has been delayed to September 20. Developer 11 Bit Studios explained in a Steam blog post that the delay allows them to incorporate feedback from the recent beta and add more features. “We know this is not the news you wanted to hear,” the studio stated, “but we believe these additional features should be available on day one, not in a later patch. We hope you understand that our decision is driven by our commitment to delivering the best game possible.”
